豎琴演奏家于丹於10月9日香港電台節目"室樂雅聚"中接受訪問及席間演奏了數首樂曲. 其中一首是由她改編的中國古曲《春江花月夜》, 用豎琴演奏中國古曲，別具韻味。《春江花月夜》讓聽眾領略了西洋樂器和中國古曲的完美融合，情緒激昂處，音符噴薄而出，靜謐處，音符如小溪般靜靜流淌。如大家希望再次感受這首樂曲的韻味, 可到以下網站收聽.

于丹的小故事
于丹是瀋陽人，出生於音樂世家，父親于繼學是我國著名長笛演奏家。于丹畢業於音樂學院附中，先後師從平樂秋教授及當代豎琴泰斗Susann McDonald教授。她在極富盛名的第五屆美國國際豎琴大賽中榮獲金獎，成為有史以來世界華人在國際豎琴大賽中囊括金獎的第一人，她也被“紐約音樂會樂評”雜誌評為“一個從全新角度去詮釋豎琴藝術的音樂家”。
因為小手指短，才學了豎琴 ......
于丹得到大獎，在鮮花和掌聲中，馬上想到的卻是給自己的恩師樂平秋寫信。樂平秋是瀋陽音樂學院教授，和于丹的父親于繼學是同事。據於繼學介紹，于丹6歲的時候，就開始跟著樂平秋學習，一學就是13年。開始時學的是鋼琴，後來改學了豎琴。于繼學說：“樂老師找到我，說讓於丹跟我學豎琴吧，豎琴我不了解，所以很猶豫，樂老師說于丹小手指短，而學豎琴只需要八個手指就夠了。 ”當時樂平秋老師就說，一定把孩子培養成名家，24年時間很快過去了，如今于丹已經成為豎琴領域的世界頂尖音樂家。
于丹有機會見識世界級的豎琴演奏，還是她16歲的時候。因為沒有錢，樂平秋帶著她，坐了9天火車，轉道莫斯科，經過波蘭和德國，最後到達法國。這次大賽她只是觀摩，但她卻有機會認識了“世界豎琴協會”藝術總監蘇珊Susann McDonald，並從此結下不解之緣。關於蘇珊，還有一個小故事......樂平秋在一個活動上遇到了蘇珊，就把于丹的一個演出錄像帶給了她，請她看一看。很多天后，樂平秋接到一封美國來的信，信是蘇珊寫來的，信中說錄像帶丟失了， 非常抱歉，希望再寄一份過去。按說，她完全可以不理不睬，但她卻千方百計找到了樂平秋的地址，然後寫信過來。再把于丹的演奏錄像帶寄過去，不久，蘇珊的信就又來了，信中正式邀請于丹參加世界豎琴大賽，沒想到于丹果然獲了大獎。
于丹的獨奏音樂會及講學遍及歐美重要城市，包括倫敦、巴黎、日內瓦、紐約、舊金山、西雅圖、亞特蘭大、鹽湖城，拉斯維加斯、佛羅里達、丹佛、明尼阿波利斯等地。 2003-2004年間還將延伸到亞太地區：東京、神戶、鹿兒島、福井，香港等地。她的首張CD "Nightingale"《夜鶯》由EGAN公司製作，於2002年7月出版。

Chaconne

近日正在練習這首優美的樂曲 - Chaconne by Jeremiah Clarke (1673-1707), 旋律有點Canon in D 的影子, 所以對Chaconne 這種曲式感興趣, 並在綱上找來一些資料...
The composer: Jeremiah Clarke (1673-1707)
Jeremiah Clarke was born in London (ca. 1673) and died there in 1707. He studied with Henry Purcell and served in positions at Winchester College, St. Paul's Cathedral, and the Chapel Royal. His compositions include services and anthems, as well as a number of keyboard works. The selections from his music include two trumpet tunes, The Duke of Marlbrough's March and the traditional Prince of Denmark's March, both notated for a solo trumpet and freely edited for the use of contrasting registrations in the repeated sections. A Ground with Twelve Variations is a charming and transparent composition in the tradition of the ostinato and chaconne.
Chaconne
夏康曲式（英文：Chaconne； 意大利文：ciaccona； 西班牙文：chacona）主題以低音和弦構成，常組成一組變奏曲的形式，是固定的低音變奏或「頑固低音」Ground Base，與帕夏卡利亞（Passacaglia）相似，只是變奏方式不同。正因它也是利用Ground Base, 效果與Canon 有點相像.
巴赫的無伴奏小提琴組曲《第二帕蒂塔》的末樂章（作品第1004號）為《夏康舞曲》。
Chaconne is a musical form whose primary formal feature involves variation on a repeated short harmonic progression.
Frescobaldi, who was probably the first composer to treat the chaconne and passacaglia comparatively, usually (but not always) sets the former in major key, with two compound triple-beat groups per variation, giving his chaconne a more propulsive forward motion than his passacaglia, which usually has four simple triple-beat groups per variation. Both are usually in triple meter, begin on the second beat of the bar, and have a theme of four measures (or a close multiple thereof). (In more recent times the chaconne, like the passacaglia, need not be in 3/4 time.)
If we accept the distinction of a chaconne as variations on a harmonic progression, often this harmonic progression may involve a recurrent bass line (ground bass), but this bass line—let alone the chords involved—may not always be present in exactly the same manner, although the general outlines remain understood. The ground bass, if there is one, may typically descend stepwise from the tonic to the dominant pitch of the scale, or the harmony may emphasize the circle of fifths or a derivative pattern thereof.
One of the best known and most masterful and expressive examples of the chaconne is the final movement from the Violin Partita in D minor by Johann Sebastian Bach. This 256-measure chaconne takes a plaintive four-bar phrase through a continuous kaleidoscope of musical expression, in both major and minor modes.
After the baroque period, the chaconne fell into decline, though the 32 Variations in C minor by Ludwig van Beethoven belong to the form.

中年危機 ..

心靈加油站
近日突然腰背酸痛, 威廉則手肋疼痛, 我們只好同病相憐, 互相扶持. 有感身體好像日漸衰退, 看到朋友電郵來這篇文章, 只有輕嘆...
It's a bit sad, but so true......
全場七百人笑聲不斷，表示有共鳴，能開開自己年紀的玩笑, 也算是一種成長後的開朗豁達。
有首歌唱的是明天會更好，為了是給人信心與鼓勵，其實現實生活裡明天會不會更好不知道，但明天會更老是確定的。
歲月要走過，才知道它的凌厲到了某個年紀不得不承認地心 引力的厲害，器官樣樣俱在，只是都下垂，所謂的：萬般皆下垂，唯有血壓高。」
中年後的身體起了很大的變化，蘋果變成梨子型，「坐著打瞌睡，躺著睡不著。想記的記不起來，想忘的忘不掉。」
更糟的是哭的時候沒眼淚，笑的時候一直擦淚。
頭上是「白髮拔不盡，春風吹又生」，男士們的髮型也個個 如小說家莫言所說的「地方支持中央」──兩邊往中央梳， 遮住稀疏的部分。
記憶力明顯衰退，從一個房間走到另一個房間，就是想不起到這兒來要做什麼？忘了剛剛說過的話，變得一再重複碎碎唸。一位老先生甚至說他有一次竟然笑到一半忘記為何而笑。
少年夫妻老來伴，中年夫妻怎麼辦？有人形容食之無味，棄之可惜，彼此的壞習慣改不了，有的夫妻是什麼項目都可以吵，從來沒有妥協過，想想婚前是好有話說，婚後變成有話好說。
每個來到世間的生命，像整存零付一樣，一點一滴地離去， 剛剛才是意氣風發的少年，一轉眼變成哀樂中年，還有人要譏笑說這些人是：「知識退化，器官老化，思想僵化，等待火化。」
所以心裡建設靠自己，要人老心不老，皺紋長在臉上，不長在心上。再想想許多人沒有老的權利，年紀輕輕的就歸道山，生活態度也要調整，以前用健康換金錢，現在要用金錢換健康，
有所謂的人生三歷：少年爭取的是好學歷，中年成功與否看經歷，年紀越來越大就要看病歷。
朋友們請保重，有健康晚年才有好日子!!

Wong Sir生日會2009

今年慶祝Wong Sir生日特別熱鬧, 因為準備二月尾的畫展, 土爪灣畫室和藝術中心的同學聚首一堂, 互相認識... 大家同學們一起分享纏畫的樂趣, 特別興奮雀躍!
可惜自己昨天突然腰痛, 未能出席, 只能在電話中與一些同學聚舊一番!

因購買了高清電視, 所以開始對高清影碟加以留意. 亦因為藍光光碟機以PS3價錢最吸引, 雖然我是Wii fans, 也買了一部PS3回家. 最近發現推出了不少歌劇的藍光光碟, 聲畫質素也同樣令人驚喜!
甚麼是Blu-ray Disc?
Blu-ray Disc（藍光光碟，英文簡稱BD），是DVD之後的下一代光碟格式之一，用以儲存高品質的影音以及高容量的資料儲存。
藍光光碟是由SONY及松下電器等企業組成的「藍光光碟聯盟」（Blu-ray Disc Association:BDF）策劃的次世代光碟規格，並以SONY為首於2006年開始全面推動相關產品, 這當然包括令blu-ray與HD DVD之戰定下勝局的PS3。
藍光光碟的命名是由於其採用波長405奈米(nm)的藍色雷射光束來進行讀寫操作（DVD採用650奈米波長的紅光讀寫器，CD則是採用780奈米波長）。 一個單層的藍光光碟的容量為25或是27GB，足夠錄製一個長達4小時的高解析影片。

光學光碟的資料軌道是由軸心向外旋轉擴散到邊緣。相較HD-DVD（0.40 microns）與DVD（0.74 microns），Blu-ray受惠於短軌距（0.32 microns）各個資料軌與軌的間距小，碟片上的資料而更能密集地被壓縮，儲存到碟片上。

成人玩具!?! Spacewarp

成人玩具!?! Spacewarp 3500
新年假期間威廉讓着買玩具, 於是購買了這套玩具回家. 其實早於年前他已買了這個系列最大的一套回家, 只是礙於它體積比這套大三倍, 加上日文說明書, 所以遲遲未有勇氣開始. 於是今次買了一套較小的回家小試牛刀, 幸運地它有中文說明書, 努力了個多小時便將它完成. 過程中還溫習了許多中學時的力學問題呢!
看看它的說明書才發現這件玩具是適宜成人的, 我還是第一次購買到"成人玩具"!

新年派對
今年一月一日家中特別熱鬧, 因為妹妹提議到我家中開派對, 並且慶祝悅悅五歲生辰. 妹妹與小朋友們看到豎琴也很興奮, 嚷着要與它拍照!
小朋友們一起彈奏不同的樂曲, 瞳瞳地快樂也與威廉一起合奏呢!
