有沒有想過將媽媽24小時內所說的嚕囌, 濃縮為2分55秒唱出來是怎樣的呢?！

近日YouTube上十分盛行這首由Anita Renfroe 唱的"老媽子之歌"。內容十分精彩和惹笑！相信無論你是為人父母或是子女的也可捧腹大笑! 這首音樂是羅西尼(Gioachino Rossini)的歌劇William Tell 的序曲。

聲聲慢黃永熙曲

聲聲慢黃永熙

“聲聲慢”是香港作曲家黃永熙博士的作品，它旋律優美，音樂色彩豐富, 是建立在一個小調上﹐好宣洩此帶著濃厚哀怨情愁的詞句。

它是宋代詞家李清照名作之一，李清照（１０８４－約１１５１）﹕南宋女詞人。號易安居士，齊州章丘（今屬山東）人。父李格非為當時著名學者，夫趙明誠為金石考據家。早期生活優裕，與明誠共同致力於書畫金石的搜集整理。金兵入據中原，流寓南方，明誠病死，境遇孤苦。所作詞，前期多寫其悠閒生活，後期多悲嘆身世，情調感傷，有的也流露出對中原的懷念。

李清照一些感人詞句：

「花自飄零水自流，一種相思，兩處閒愁。此情無計可消除，纔下眉頭，卻上心頭。」

越南之旅

今次去了越南五天, 除了吃喝玩樂, 一些景點也很藉得介紹:

胡志明市曾經名為「Saigon」，跟香港的西貢同名，直至1975年，北越勝出戰爭，就把「Saigon」改名為「胡志明市」，以紀念政權建立者胡志明，而今日的「Saigon」，就代表胡志明市的第一區。

法國殖民時代，首都就設在胡志明市，除卻地標聖母院、郵政局外，遊客可從劇院開始，沿著Dong Khoi，可看到盡是歐式建築，雖已改建成酒店，但仍具氣派，刪除了畫面上過多的電單車，還以為自己到了法國。而近年的胡志明市卻有日本入侵之勢，說的是日本遊客，他們視這裡為東南亞家具雜貨，冒著汗在街市講價。若然要找當地設計師的貨品，這裡依然又平又實惠，怪不得人人都飛來掃貨購物。這裡還少不了地道美食，牛河平得叫人連吃幾碗，大頭蝦亦可點上數隻，令人口腹盡興的地方。

古芝位於胡志明市西北約70公里處，越南人在當年選擇了這片地質堅硬，又有叢林做掩護的古芝，做為他們的復興基地，白天大家在地表上做普通的農民，晚上將鋤頭帶進地下變身為革命鬥士，花了20年的時間，挖了共200公里。地下四通八達，共分三層，有廚房、臥室、會議室、司令部、醫院、水井等設施。三層的地道，越到下面越窄、越熱、越溼，除了原本生長在地下的動物，真的很難想像，人要怎麼活在這裡。
越南人體型嬌小，挖出來的地道當然只適合他們的體型，西方大漢是絕對無法順利通行的，開放給一般遊客所走的地道已經拓寬，真正的地道其實更狹小，一般遊客無法到達的第2層與第3層，第2層的高度與寬度尚能接受，只要彎腰半蹲仍能行走，但下到第三層之後，不但空氣變得稀薄、黏溼，172公分的我，即便半蹲也窒礙難行，肩膀經常會撞到牆壁，某些地方則必須完全蹲下才能移動，走完短短的50公尺，就好像跑完5000公尺一樣，汗流浹背，狼狽至極。
從抗法到抗美，古芝從沒有被攻下過，似乎是越南人在長久的戰爭歷史中，唯一能夠展示他們自信的地方，就好像當年台灣向老外國展示金門堅固的花崗岩碉堡一樣。「濃密的叢林、陰濕的地道中機關、陷阱重重，被搞瘋的老美不在少數」解說員自豪且愉快的說著，「不被搞瘋才有鬼」我邊拍打著滿身的泥土，頻頻點頭。

戰爭博物館「戰爭博物館」─從前叫做美軍暴行紀念館，裡頭展示著越戰期間美軍使用的各種坦克、大砲、槍枝、化學武器，以及美國人對越南人民施暴的照片。掛在陳列室中醒目處的一張相片，訴說著當年血淋淋的歷史，相片中握住越南人半截屍體做出得意表情的士兵，絕對想不到他的相片今日會被陳列在胡志明市戰爭博物館當中，陳述著當年美國迫害越南的史實。

明天我將起程前住越南胡志明市吃喝玩樂一番, 突然想起多年前看過的這套有關越戰的音樂劇.其實自己很怕看悲劇, 但因看了Les Miserable, 太喜歡Schonberg 的作品, 所以也看了這套劇. 其中故事大綱太像意大利歌劇"蝴蝶夫人"了, 令我感到少了一份新鮮感, 但戲味卻較蝴蝶夫人濃烈許多.西貢小姐

西貢小姐是一部由克勞德-米歇爾·勛伯格(Claude-Michel Schonberg )與阿蘭·鮑伯利(Alain Boublil)共同創作的音樂劇。它講述的故事背景是20世紀70年代的西貢，一個越南女子與一位美國海軍的悲慘愛情故事。

Miss Saigon

Miss Saigon is a musical by Claude-Michel Schönberg and Alain Boublil, with lyrics by Boublil and Richard Maltby, Jr. It represented Schönberg and Boublil's second major success, following Les Misérables in 1980.

The Plot

The setting of the plot is relocated to the 1970s Saigon during the Vietnam War, it tells a tragic tale of a doomed romance involving an Vietnam woman abandoned by her American lover.

In the muscial, there is a duet that I love very much - 'I Still Believe'. It shows both women (Kim - Vietnam wife and Ellen - American wife) are deeply in love with Chris. When they both sung the last words 'I'm yours for life, until we die...', I felt really heartbreaking when I first saw this musical. Let's enjoy it again in the video clip found in U-tube ...

Old friends, old days...

It's been a long time since Stuart left the office. It's great to find he hasn't changed much in these few years. Of course, I have reserved the 'B&B' in Stuart's house when I visit England!

Ten years after 1997, all the expartriates in the office have gone. It's always memorable for those days which we have people came from difference parts of the world and have great sharing of different cultures.

威爾第的歌劇《茶花女》(La Traviata)

威爾第的歌劇《茶花女》(La Traviata)

最近因為看了Aida歌劇, 又再次掀起看歌劇的興趣. 每晚吃飯的時侯, 都選擇一套歌劇播放. 所以別人在追無線連續劇, 而我們就晚晚追歌劇.

這是近日新購買的茶花女DVD, 皆因威廉看中茶花女"年青貌美", 女高音中實屬難得!!!

看後也感到這是一個很好的製作. 這是2005年在Salzburg Festival 中的演出, 除了兩位主角非常出色外, 我也很喜歡它的舞台設計和表達方法. 尤其在第二幕開始, 傳統表達方法只有男主角出場, 因他有數首獨唱曲目, 述說Violetta如何洗盡鉛華, 跟他在鄉村過着快樂的生活. 然而這套DVD卻突破了傳統的表達方式, Alfredo在唱這段開場的曲目時, 正與Violetta在追逐及捉迷藏, 充份地感到他們快樂的生活.

茶花女（La traviata）是由Giuseppe Verdi (朱塞佩·威爾第)作曲, 改編自小仲馬於1848年出版的小說《茶花女》（The Lady of the Camellias，La dame aux Camélias）的四幕歌劇。

In youtube, there is a video clip on 'Sempre libera' which is the last aria in act 1. After Violetta turns Alfredo down, she is deeply touched by his love. Then when she is alone, she reflects. She is tired of her hectic life, and although she knows that dreams of love are nonsense, she recalls her wishes to find such love. She tries to throw off these fond wishes (Sempre libera "always free"), but at the end of Act One Alfredo's voice floats back to her and she accepts his love at last.

製作中這段"長腿"演譯.  在製作特諿中了解這段是第二幕開場時Alfredo在唱這段開場的曲目時, 編導巧妙地加插兩人與Violetta在追逐及捉迷藏, 充份地感到他們快樂的生活片段, 觀眾完全沒留意Violetta是完全靜默的.

這是許建吾先生作詞的大合唱〝祖國戀〞第四章，並非描繪西湖之美，而是對著零落的西湖懷念故人情黯淡而抱的無窮希望。「問鶯燕」這首歌滿篇傷懷感人的回憶，惹人唏噓激發鄉愁：「桃花點點，鶯燕碧浪，佳麗姍姍，跨舟搖槳」，昔日情景使人嚮盻，如今景物全空，「輕問鶯燕，春光易老，故人難逢」。這發自年邁人內心深處的感嘆，何等泣然惆悵。深沈與奈何的噓嘆，道出人間的溫情誠摯，描繪時事變遷的遺憾！　自己最喜歡"無限春光容易老　故人何不早相逢" 是美也帶著惆悵。

一刻的浪漫 - Violin making

這是一篇準備了很久但總未能完成的網誌, 現趁着網友Wing快要到美國繼續鑽研造琴的藝術, 自己也逸強趕快完成這篇網誌給他作鼓勵及臨別禮物.

未認識Wing之前, 當威廉嚷着要親手造一個小提琴自己撣奏時, 總覺得很浪漫. 直至閱讀了Wing在學習上的血汗與辛勞, 造琴的藝術確實需要很堅定的信念, 和對提琴那種無比的熱情. 所以, 如果有一天我會將這篇網誌的題目從"The Romance of Violin Making" 改為 "The Passion of Violin Making", 也許那是時候由得威廉學造琴, 追尋自己的夢想了.

孔子學琴-文王操

早前在準備介紹古琴的內容時, 偶爾發現了以下這段敘述孔子學琴的故事. 閱讀後很感動, 有當頭棒喝的感覺. 實在感到自己的學習態度需要多加改善, 才能有所進步.

回看學習時自己總是急功近利, 希望靠一點兒的小聰明, 快快的將歌曲學會, 只期待趕快學習下一首. 只會用學會了多少曲目, 考過了多少考試來衡量自己的成績. 唱歌如是, 繪畫如是 (這也是我從學習油畫轉學水彩的原因).

我想下星期見聲樂老師時也會向她說要重新學習, "學習像孔子"了.

孔子學琴   (前551-前479)

      孔子拜師襄子為師，學習古琴 . 師襄子教孔子一首曲子，孔子彈了十日還在練習 . 師襄子說：「可以學另一首曲子了 .」孔子說：「曲子雖然已經學會了，但是我還沒熟悉它的韻律 .」

      過了些日子, 師襄子說：「韻律已經熟悉了，可以學下一首曲子了 . 」孔子說：「我還不知它所敘述的內涵 . 」

      又過了些日子, 師襄子說：「已經知道所敘述的內涵了，可以學下一首曲子了吧！」孔子說：「還不知作曲者是誰，他的為人如何呢 .」

       再過了些日子，師襄子說：「從你的琴聲中可以感受到，有個人好像很肅穆，正在沉思著，又好像怡然自得，志向很高潔的樣子 . 」孔子說：「我感受到這個人臉色肅穆，身材高頎, 目光慈祥，心胸寬大能包容天下 . 呀！那不就是文王嗎？」師襄子聽了大吃一驚，連忙站起來向孔子一鞠躬說：「不錯！我的老師講過，這個樂曲名叫‘文王操’」

“孔子學鼓琴師襄子 . 十日不進 . 師襄子曰可以益矣 . 孔子曰丘已習其曲矣未得其數也 . 有間曰已習其數可以益矣 . 孔子曰丘未得其志也 . 有間曰已習其志可以益矣 . 孔子曰丘未得其為人也 . 有間曰有所穆然深思焉有所怡然高望而遠志焉 . 曰丘得其為人黯然而黑幾然而長眼如望羊心如王四國非文王其誰能為此也 . 師襄子辟席再拜曰師蓋云文王操也 . ”

我努力在網上尋覓, 終於找到了文王操的音樂與大家分享. 這些給文人雅士修心養性的雅樂, 確實予人恬靜淡如水的感覺.

古琴欣賞-琴譜解讀

昨天上了一課演說的技巧, 學了理論後今天每位學員需要準備一份5-10分鐘的演說. 想了一會, 決定選擇一個較冷門的課題"古琴欣賞".

古琴譜自成一格, 古時稱為「文字譜」，到了唐朝後稱為指法譜或稱減字譜.指法譜即是將左手按絃的手指及所要按的絃,如中七(意即用左手中指按第七絃)放在上方,將右手所要彈的絃及指法擺在下方,組合成如上圖的指法譜.又因為指法譜是用漢字減少筆劃而形成的,所以亦稱減字譜.

例如:

即是左手中指按在七徽的位置,右手勾一絃.

即是左手大指按在九徽的位置,右手挑四絃.

即是散音,亦即空絃音(左手不按絃),右手挑三絃.

古琴譜看似文字, 裏面只記指法動作, 只看琴譜很難知道它的旋律如何. 難怪在金庸的武俠小說"笑傲江湖"中那些武功高手會誤會琴譜為武林秘笈啊!

迷人的歌劇-阿伊達 (Aïda by Verdi)

歌劇-阿伊達

今天晚上我和威廉到尖沙咀文化中心欣賞了意大利歌劇"阿伊達"的演出. 數數看已經有年多沒有看歌劇了, 上一次看的是Mozart的Don Giovianni. 雖然阿伊達不是我最喜愛的Verdi曲目，我最愛的是"Rigoletto弄臣"，但你一定會很雀躍阿伊達的隆重舞台設計. 每次看Aïda都會很期待看看它第二幕的大型舞蹈. 但說實話, 我卻比較喜歡去年 Don Giovanni
的簡約製作.

故事：阿依達是被帶進埃及作奴役的埃塞俄比亞公主。拉達米斯是一名戰勝埃塞俄比歸來的侍衞長，而法老王的女兒阿姆納麗絲也很愛他. 最後他郤要在對阿依達的愛和對法老的忠誠兩者之間作出選擇。可悲的是最後阿依達和拉達米斯一起死在火神廟的地下室內。

Aïda

I went to watch 'Aïda' tonight. Aïda is not my most favourite opera, I love Rigoletto most, but surely you can enjoy the grandest production in Aida. In early days, they've even got cows and elephants in the victory grand march scene in Act II.

Story: Aïda, an Ethiopian princess, is captured and brought into slavery in Egypt. A military commander, Radames, struggles to choose between his love for her and his loyalty to the Pharoh. To complicate the story further, Radames is loved by the Pharaoh's daughter Amneris, although he does not return the feeling. Tragically both Aida and Radames died in the vault below the Temple of Vulcan.

The DVD I've got at home casted Domingo as Radames in 1989.

In Youtube, I've found a 1984's production casted Pavarotti as Radames.

The video clip recorded the beautiful aria 'Celeste Aïda". Let's enjoy Pavarotti's wonderful voice again...
